Raman Thediya Seethai is all about how a Ram like person finds his life partner (Seethai) through a journey of searches and rejections. Though the title is similar to the earlier hit of MGR, the film is no way similar to it. The title aptly describes the story of the film and hence it was chosen.

Directed by K.P. Jagannath, who earlier directed Pudhiya Geethai starring Vijay and the critically acclaimed Kodambakkam, Raman Thediya Seethai has Cheran playing the protagonist and Pasupathi as a Radio Jockey. The film also has Nithin Sathya playing a very important role of an auto driver, who changes the course of Cheran’s life, when he almost finds his bride.
